If you’re a kiwi veteran living in Australia, let Brett Te Wheoro guide you through our upcoming online event. If this face looks familiar to you then it’s because Brett has been the face of our previous face-to-face and online events for our veterans. He also fronts some of our VA videos and for our event on 30 March, he will again be the online Master of Ceremonies.

Brett is a project adviser within the VA Projects and Communications team. In this role, he is actively engaged with serving and ex-serving veterans and their families and whānau, as part of VA’s outreach programme. Brett also has other portfolios encompassing unit security and privacy. As a veteran, Brett is a keen advocate for all veterans and whānau and has participated on boards and forums regarding veteran welfare and support. Brett has an extensive military background having served 31 years in the Regular Force of the New Zealand Army, including operational deployments to East Timor and Afghanistan.

Brett has a Diploma in Business Management.

Brett is still a current member of the New Zealand Army Reserve and assists where his management skills and attributes are required. Brett advanced through the ranks and attained the appointment of Regiment Sergeant Major before taking his release from regular service.
