The following are priorities for the Association Executive Committee to focus on and maintain and include:
- Represent members interests at RNZRSA and VANZ
- Organise and support National Reunions
- Manage projects of importance i.e. The Oral History Project
- Support Branch or Troop activities
- Foster relationships with like organisations
- Organise Cambrai commemorations at the National War Memorial
- Maintain a national database of members
- Be the POC for the Colonel Commandant and the Regimental Colonel
- Maintain Armoured Corps traditions through observance, promotion and education;
- Perpetuate the esprit de corps of the RNZAC and keep alive the spirit of comradeship amongst ‘Blackhatters’
- Act as a point of contact for ‘Blackhatters’ and to give assistance where it is appropriate. Any member knowing another ‘Blackhatter’ to be ill or in need, shall advise the Secretary, so that appropriate action may be taken
- Pay due honour and respect to departed comrades by attending their funerals and remembering them on Cambrai Day, ANZAC Day and on any other formal occasion
